Capture Preferences - configures capture preferences and options

Capture Settings

Select Network Adapters: select one or multiple adapters to capture network traffics. If the adapters list is empty, that means WinPcap Driver is invalid. You can get WinPcap Driver from http://www.winpcap.org/install/default.htm
Promiscuous: enabled capturing all traffics over the adapters. In the switched local area network, normally you can't capture other computer's traffics except your own. There are three ways to solve this matter. Firstly, if your switch has Port Mirroring, then you can connect your network adapter directly to the port, such as Cisco's SPAN ports. Secondly, if your switch has no Port Mirroring, then you can use a HUB device instead of the switch device. Finally, you can only use ARP spoofing technique.
Capture not only MSN packets but also all the other TCP packets: if you are interesting in all the other TCP connections, you can select this option. But this only shows you the connections without any packets data in Realtime Connections window.
